Jeff Schechtman starts with the why behind a problem. Then, he builds the system that solves it.
Jeff began his career as a structural engineer, designing bridges, tunnels and waterfront facilities. Across 25 years at one of the world’s most respected infrastructure firms, he sought exposure to every phase of the work: planning, construction management, operations and maintenance. He learned that decisions made early affect outcomes later. Before joining Sparus, he spent two years running field operations at a national infrastructure services company, where he put that insight into practice.
When Jeff arrived at Sparus in 2023, the company had grown through acquisition, with each business carrying its own identity. Early on, he reorganized around what the company does rather than where it came from, creating a structure that enables collaboration and scale without adding complexity. He also introduced development programs for project managers and frontline supervisors, because good processes only go as far as the people running them.
The operating foundation Jeff builds upon is designed to surface and solve problems before they take root. A platform built to anticipate is also a platform built to grow.
