Meter programs purpose-built for public utilities

For three decades, Allegiant has run meter programs for public electric, gas and water utilities. We organize every engagement around your standards, your schedule and your reporting requirements, with the same project teams from mobilization through closeout.

That expertise is earned across hundreds of AMI deployments, meter testing programs and a Certified Renewed Meters offering that puts retired inventory back into service.

Allegiant fields project teams with the flexibility to staff programs that run for weeks, months or years — drawing on the full resources of Sparus, a connected group of specialized utility service companies.

Why Clients Choose Us

Public power meter programs run on fixed budgets and board-approved timelines. Allegiant has the expertise to help you meet yours.

  • One team, start to finish. We have run public utility meter programs for three decades; your program will have with the same crew from mobilization through closeout.
  • Scaled to your scope, wherever you are. From a targeted exchange to a multi-year AMI rollout, we staff and structure around your timeline, your budget and your reporting requirements, with traveling teams for quick-turn and surge support.
  • Real-time visibility through Peak Workflow. Our customizable work order management system gives your staff live access to installation data, photos and GPS throughout deployment, integrated directly with your CIS.
  • A full meter lifecycle, one partner. From AMI deployment and testing to field services and renewed inventory, we manage every phase of your meter program — new meters in, retired meters back into service, all through the same team.
  • No meters to landfill. Every retired meter is recycled or renewed, kept out of the waste stream and returned to service as a Certified Renewed Meter where possible.

AMI & Smart Meter Deployment

Large-scale AMI rollouts have a lot of moving parts, crews, timelines and stakeholder reporting, inventory management and closeout documentation. • AMI and smart meter installation and upgrades
  • AMI network installation — collectors, repeaters and gateway endpoints
  • Self-contained and transformer-rated meter site testing
  • Project management from mobilization through closeout
